CSS USA SECURITY GUARD HAILED A “GUARDIAN ANGEL”
October, 2007

CSS USA security guard Geline Richard works at a premium, high-rise condo in Miami. She’s now known around the condo not only as a guard, but as a “guardian angel”. She earned this title by using her quick thinking and training skills to help an injured resident.
When the resident came into the lobby from her apartment, she was bleeding profusely after deeply cutting her hand on a broken vase. 911 was called immediately. Instead of standing by and waiting for the ambulance to arrive, Geline took charge. She was able to control the bleeding and calm the resident until paramedics arrived.
The resident fully recovered and now thanks the Heavens that Geline was there to help. “She was my guardian angel. I am so thankful that she is here.” Geline’s actions did not go unnoticed by the condo’s board of directors. The board praised her good deeds and hard work saying, “It makes us all feel good to know that, in an emergency, Geline is here to help.” And, what does Geline have to say about her newly found fame? “I am just glad that I could help out and that the resident is fine.” Geline truly has earned her halo.

CSS USA OFFICERS SAVE THE LIFE OF A 77 YEAR OLD WOMAN
October 24, 2006
On Tuesday, October 24, 2006, two CSS USA Security
Officers, from Western Michigan, were recognized at the Baker City
Council Meeting for their actions involving a fire in a trailer at
Renaissance Village (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) on October 20, 2006.
The two officers, Nicholas Nowak and Andrew Williams, both of Muskegon, MI,
were credited by Baker Fire Chief in saving the life of a 77 year old
female resident when they detected smoke coming out of her trailer while
on patrol (the cause of the fire is still under investigation). The
Chief stated that, "due to the nature of our job, our officers
frequently receive negative press, and when something positive comes up,
it's important to recognize efforts, even though "it's our job"."
Not only did the officers alert the resident, who had ignored a "pop"
which she had heard in the rear of her trailer, they obtained fire
extinguishers from adjoining trailers in an attempt to minimize further
damage to the trailer.
The Mayor of the City of Baker also presented the two officers with a
proclamation naming them "Honorary Mayor for the Day" with all the
privilages granted to the Mayor, for their unselfish actions.
Other than myself, Mr. Lynn Daniel the Baton Rouge FEMA Security
Director, FEMA PIO (Public information Officer), and FEMA Safety Officer were in attendance at the Council Meeting. Mr. Daniel thanked the officers for their efforts on behalf of Mr. Thomas Hofius, FEMA Security Director, Louisiana.
Mr. Luke Brant had previously recognized the officers, with a certificate, on behalf of CSS USA.

CSS USA INTRODUCES NEW DRUG TESTING POLICY
June 26, 2006 11:05am
Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA.
CSS USA announced a new, updated drug testing policy today.
When asked to highlight the major changes involved with this policy compared to past practices, Amanda McAlister, Senior Vice President of Human Resources responded: “While CSS USA has been pre-screening for drug abuse with new hire candidates for many years, this policy outlines new procedures for ‘random’ drug testing across the entire corporation. In addition, it clarifies ‘post-incident’ drug testing or ‘post-accident’ drug testing requirements as well.”
A closer look at the policy outlines that CSS USA has partnered with a third-party company to assist them with this program. Their third party provider administers much of the program by actually conducting the random employee selection process independently. “CSS USA chose that path to ensure the integrity of the selection process” added Ms. McAlister. “Every employee is in the same employee pool, including the corporate staff; even the President of the company”.
Another aspect of the new policy, that is almost overlooked, is the inclusion of “criminal background checks” in combination with the random drug testing. The same employees selected for random drug testing, are also re-checked for criminal convictions. Andy Shaffer, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Owner of CSS USA, was very direct in his comments regarding that decision: “Senior Management considered that aspect of the policy as ‘must have’ right from the beginning. We have always taken pride in our hiring policy of ‘0’ convictions of any type. Not felonies and certain types of misdemeanors, ‘0’ convictions of any type! Our clients appreciate that aspect of our process, and we want them to know that we also go back and check from time to time to ensure the integrity of our workforce”.
No one questioned seemed to believe that this would be a problem within the general workforce. “I’m sure there will be a few”, Mr. Shaffer added. “But for the most part, no officer wants to come to work and count on a co-worker that may be under the influence of drugs”.
There had been a story working its way around the CSS USA corporate office (unconfirmed) of a worksite in Detroit that was being serviced by another guard company. The story was that the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department had showed up one day to arrest one of the guards standing at the front gate of this manufacturing facility because the guard had been convicted of a crime and had apparently skipped probation requirements. The manager responsible for security at the plant relayed to the CSS USA Rep that he knew he was in for a bad day when that happened. He was quoted as saying: “I would rather find out that Mike Wallace and the 60 minutes crew were in the lobby, than have to explain that to my boss!”

CSS USA OPENS HOUSTON MARKET
June 30, 2006 02:15pm
Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
Mr. Luke Brant, President, Southwest Region, announced today that the transition process has been successfully completed, and that CSS USA has acquired MAGNUM FORCE SECURITY located in Houston, Texas. Effective July 1st, 2006, CSS USA will be fully operational in the Houston market.
“We will be able to transfer much of our experience gained from servicing the New Orleans basin to the Houston market” Mr. Brant commented. “We enter the market with superior personnel positioned to service both the private and public sector. No other company is more qualified to meet the security needs of the Petrochemical and Port Service industries of Houston than CSS USA!” he went on to add.
Mr. Brant was also quick to comment that it was not their intention to be strictly specialized in Houston. “We have a significant amount of experience in overall commercial, industrial, and high-rise security of all types. We clearly have the capability of meeting the needs of a wide variety of quality driven companies in Houston, Texas.”
At CSS USA’s headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mr. Chris Frain, Co-Owner and Chief Executive Officer, had these comments: “We are very pleased with our progress in our Southern Region. We have a lot of good people down there working hard and doing an excellent job!” While being elusive, Mr. Frain certainly “hinted” that more successful growth could be expected in the southern and western parts of the United States in the future.

CSS USA ENTERS SOUTH FLORIDA
May 15, 2006 07:41 am
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.
CSS USA is pleased to announce the opening of its newest branch office, at 1500 West Cypress Creek Road, Suite 207, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The South Florida guard service market is one of the largest in the world, and clients of all types are already embracing the CSS USA approach to high-end security officer services.
“While this market has a large number of CSS USA’s traditional customer types, it also represents the ideal opportunity for us to further develop into the nation’s premiere residential guard service provider,” says Jason Burger, Regional Vice President. “Residential or otherwise; the potential offered by this market is vast – years of substandard performance and complacency on the part of national, regional and local competitors have left customers of all types unsatisfied, and eager to meet a proven, high-quality and customer-service focused provider. The market’s response to CSS USA and our quality and value-driven operating principles continues to exceed our most optimistic projections.”
The South Florida office has already signed Agreements with two luxury, high-rise oceanfront condominiums and a Class-A commercial office development, and is in the final stages of negotiations with several more clients of all types across Broward, Dade and Palm Beach Counties.
The Company plans to open additional offices in the Naples / Fort Myers, Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville markets.
Mr. Chris Frain, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Owner of CSS USA had these additional comments: “The timing of our entry into Florida could not be better. With the service team we have assembled and the solutions we have to offer, we look forward to our future growth. Our Emergency Response and Disaster Recovery experience from the New Orleans basin will also prove to be very comforting for CSS USA's customers in Florida”.
